Dear Valued Customers,
I wanted to personally share an update regarding RIsharpening.
RIsharpening will be taking the remainder of the winter season off from sharpening services. This decision wasn’t made lightly, but a few important factors have come together at the same time.
Most importantly, my 2-year-old son recently experienced a medical incident that requires more of my time and attention. Family always comes first, and I truly appreciate your understanding as I focus on supporting him during this period.
Please note that any orders I currently have will be fully completed and fulfilled before the winter closure. No existing orders will be left unfinished.
Additionally, working out of the sharpening trailer in colder winter temperatures—without heat—has proven to be challenging and not ideal for maintaining the level of service quality you expect and deserve.
This pause also gives me the opportunity to step back, reflect, and make improvements to RIsharpening as we prepare for the upcoming spring season. After an amazing 2025, I’ve learned so much through this adventure of building the business, and I’m excited to come back even stronger.
Thank you sincerely for your continued support, trust, and encouragement. I look forward to serving you again this spring and sharing what’s next for RIsharpening.
Wishing you a safe and wonderful rest of the winter.
Warm regards,
Brandon Skuce
RIsharpening

Hi there! My name is Brandon Skuce and I am the owner and operator of RI Sharpening. I was first introduced to the importance of sharpening through my love of culinary and cooking, where I found that a dull blade not only took away from the experience but also created an unsafe environment. My goal with RI Sharpening is to make everyday tasks easier and more efficient for my customers by providing them sharp and effective tools; from a lawnmower blade to a high-end culinary knife (and everything in-between) to ensure that each customer walks away with a great experience.

RI Sharpening Is now offering to its clients a quick and convenient way to drop off and pick up their items. How does it work?
