Risharpening will be implementing new business hours moving forward. This change is being made to create a healthier work-life balance for myself and my family.

In addition to running this business, I work over 40+ hours a week at Electric Boat. I’m also a husband, a father to a 2-year-old, and we’re excited to be welcoming another baby boy soon. As life continues to get busier, it’s important for me to make sure I’m present for my family while still providing quality service to my customers.

New Business Hours:

• Tuesdays: 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM
  Focused on completing smaller orders.
• Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  Primary sharpening day, allowing for a higher volume of orders to be completed.

Customers are welcome to drop off items at the Sharp Shack throughout the week. However, please note that all orders will only be worked on during the scheduled business hours listed above. Once your order is completed, it will be placed in the drop box, and you will be notified when it is ready for pickup.

Hi there! My name is Brandon Skuce and I am the  owner and operator of RI Sharpening. I was first introduced to the importance of sharpening through my love of culinary and cooking, where I found that a dull blade not only took away from the experience but also created an unsafe environment. My goal with RI Sharpening  is to make everyday tasks easier and more efficient for my customers by providing them sharp and effective tools; from a lawnmower blade to a high-end culinary knife (and everything in-between) to ensure that each customer walks away with a great experience.
